SMAC Self Protection programmes are based on the reality of crime and terrorism - not the misconception that flashy jumping high flying spinning round back kicks are going to stop a determined aggressor when the time comes.

For the beginner, simple and effective techniques are taught that can be learnt quickly and easily by everybody, repetition is then the key to developing muscle memory and your reflexive instinct. Self defense, in comparison to traditional martial arts training, focuses on simple gross motor skills that can be executed effectively to stop an attacker even under high levels of duress. If it comes to a physical confrontation, you need to strike aggressively at vulnerable targets and make your escape to safety as quickly as possible. No ego and no macho Hollywood BS that could get you killed or worse, just the simple reality that we want to live to see another day.

Public Seminar Dates

A number of one day seminars covering various self defense and personal security concepts for the general public will be conducted throughout the year in the UAE and other locations as they become available.

Attendance is open to all and content will be focused on bringing confidence to individuals and families and awareness of personal security and safety issues applicable to the local environment.

Self Defense for Women

Self Defense for Women provides an environment wherein women are able to gain confidence, develop the basic skills, and explore the techniques and principles in a more open and less aggressive environment. This class has been established for women only and focuses on personal security and safety issues more appropriate to women, such as the threat of rape, abuse, and sexual harassment at work to name a few.

Combat Fitness

Combat Fitness is an intense physical training regime focused on strength, stamina, aggression, and developing the correct mental attitude. In the street, its this mental edge that will make the difference, the 'will to win' - to never give up and never to lose.

Aggression and attitude are developed through hard training drills which will include running, sprinting, skipping, pad work and other aggressive exercises that will push your body to its limits where at this point, its all in your head whether you give up and lose or push through and succeed.
