A bit about SMAC 360 Combat

SMAC 360 Combat was formed out of the NGD concept that promotes personal development and self improvement through adventure and other personally challenging pursuits.

Personal security and safety has been important to the NGD philosophy since its conception and [Self Protection | Martial Arts | Close Quarters Battle] SMAC 360 degrees defensive combat training was one of the first aspects to be developed.

Today, SMAC 360 Combat has taken on a life of its own and has seen a core group of dedicated participants grow both in attitude and skill since the group was first established in August 2007 at 'Duckpond' Dojo in Jebel Ali Village, Dubai.

SMAC 360 Combat training supports modern reality-based concepts over traditional martial arts as the intention is to develop skills and knowledge that work in today's threat environment. Our system of training is heavily based on the direction of two modern reality-based combat schools: the Kapap Academy in the USA, and the British Combat Association (BCA) in the UK. Both schools emphasise the reality of conflict and street combat, as well as other critical self protection skills such as situational awareness and conflict avoidance. Training for our modern world invokes the necessity to train in all aspects of self protection; training therefore may include the defensive use of modern weapons, disarming techniques, close quarters battle, close protection formations and drills, driving skills, first aid, emergency response, surveillance detection and survival skills among others.

Public group training is provided by SMAC 360 Combat on a voluntary basis and is free-of-charge to participants. SMAC 360 Combat is a part of the Community Safety Initiative (CSI) sponsored by Spiir FZE, a security consulting and training company based in the UAE who provide qualified instructor(s) and equipment to the group as well as hosting this website. Group members are strongly encouraged to contribute to the safety initiative by actively supporting and promoting this programme to friends and family, signing-up to become a Spiir CSI member, or making donations to the CSI.

To sum up, SMAC 360 Combat provides reality-based training for modern self protection. We learn that we alone are responsible for our own safety and security. We strive for personal improvement in all aspects of our life and to be a better person. SMAC training groups are no-e-go zones, everyone is welcome.
